“I discovered this neglected space by chance — it was tucked away and forgotten behind a small glass door on a quiet street in old Milan. The moment I walked in, I felt that this space held the soul of what I envisioned for A di GAETA. Its quiet, imperfect beauty was exactly what drew me in. Creating the atelier was not just a project — it was a true labour of love. I was pregnant with my first baby during this time, which made the process both more challenging and more meaningful. Family and friends gathered around me to help bring the vision to life, stripping away layers of paint to reveal the original, stunning surfaces beneath. Their support was invaluable. My vision was to transform this space into a second home — a secret nook where creativity could thrive and connections could flourish, offering a peaceful escape from the relentless rhythm of daily life in the city.”
